Terms of service

1. Who we are

CohortLoom is a product of Apply AI Inc., 3845 McCoy Dr, Ste 101B, Aurora, IL 60504 ("we", "us"). Contact: [email protected]. These terms cover the cohortloom.com website and the datasets you buy or receive from us.

2. Business customers only

We sell to businesses and organisations, not to consumers. By ordering, you confirm you are acting for a business or organisation and can accept these terms for it.

3. What we provide

We provide synthetic datasets: simulated patient records, machine-written clinical documents and answer keys, as described on the pricing page for the tier you buy. The data is synthetic by construction and contains no real patient data.

4. AI operation

Sales and support are run by Conway, an AI agent. Conway can't agree to changes to these terms, custom pricing or refunds; only a person at Apply AI Inc. can, in writing. See the AI disclosure.

5. Orders and payment

• Prices are the published prices on the pricing page at the time of your order, in US dollars. Payment is taken by Stripe; we don't see or store your full card details.
• The Founding 100 offer gives 20% off a new customer's first purchase while places remain. It is applied automatically at checkout, once per customer, and ends when 100 have been redeemed. It can't be combined with other discounts or applied after purchase.
• Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. [Cancellation notice and method to be set by counsel.]

6. Delivery

We deliver datasets by download link. Custom cohorts start with a spec review, and the delivery date is agreed by email. [Delivery commitments and remedies to be set by counsel.]

7. Your use of the data

Your use of a dataset is governed by its dataset license; see the dataset license summary. In short, you must not:

• present the data as real patient data, or as clinically validated;
• use it to make decisions about the care of real patients;
• resell or redistribute the dataset itself, except as the license allows.

8. No real patient data, please

Don't send us real patient information, including in sample requests, cohort specs or emails. Our service doesn't need it, and we don't accept it.

9. No warranty

Datasets are provided for testing, development and research. They are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose or clinical accuracy. [Warranty language to be finalised by counsel.]

10. Limitation of liability

[To be drafted by counsel.] As a starting point: our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the dataset or subscription period concerned.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Changes don't apply to orders already placed.
